Wednesday, March 5th starts is the beginning of the Lenten season. For some of you that may mean nothing, for others that means the pepper and egg sandwich is a weekly dining out staple. However, to us, here at Dominick’s Pizza, that means we can get creative with one of our favorite culinary ingredients…..seafood!! We have taken some of our favorite family dishes and turned them into the Lenten Specials Menu for the dining room. Appetizers like the Mediterranean Salad with the crispy romaine and earthy baby spinach stand up very well to the saltiness of the calamata olives and the creaminess of the feta cheese. Or the Mussels Marinara, New Zealand green shelled mussels steamed and topped with a chunky tomato and garlic sauce…I always get mine spicy! A Dozen mussels, a piece of bread, and I am good to go!! Don’t miss limited time sandwiches like the Grilled Shrimp Wrap or the Portobello Mushroom Burger(a staff favorite). Of course our tried and true entrees like the Spinach Stuffed Shells, Pasta Alla Carmelo, Pesce Fra’Diavolo, Pasta San Filipo or the heart healthy Grilled Salmon. 40 days is just enough time to try them all and enjoy your favorites. If you are looking for more non-meat dining options, check out our Vegetarian Selections section of our regular dining room menu.
Don’t forget to enjoy a little vino with your meal. With a full line of Mirassou wines, you are sure to find one that will tickle your palate. If beer is your beverage of choice, ask your server about our craft and specialty selections, we are always changing and adding to our list. Look out for Veteran Beer, coming soon!!
